We’re a church that doesn’t have a paid pastor but are an ‘all involved, all serving’ church led by a team, read on to find out a bit more about each of them. These are just some of the faces who are helping drive Message Community Church forward.

Andy Hawthorne
Andy founded and now helps lead The Message Trust, out of which Message Community Church was born. He loves Man Utd, test cricket and hanging out with friends over food and drink. He is married to Michele and they have two grown up children, Sam & Beth and two grandchildren.
Danielle Campsall
Danielle is the CAO at The Message Trust and has many stories of God’s faithfulness through tough times. She has a heart to see people not defined by their past but by all that God has called them to be and for the past 7 years, has made her home in Wythenshawe, the community the church was later planted in.Danielle is married to Andy and they have four grown up children.

Michele Hawthorne
Michele is married to Andy and is an artist, cook and community worker. She loves people, travel, food and most of all God. Andy & Michele have two grown up children, Sam & Beth and two grandchildren.
Neale Hayward-Shott
Neale helps coordinate the Local Groups and Bible studies. Heather and Neale have caring responsibilities which gives them particular insights into children and adults with additional needs.

Heather is part of the Children's Work. Heather and Neale have caring responsibilities which gives them particular insights into children and adults with additional needs.
Ben Jack
Ben works at the Message Trust where he oversees Advance, a movement that equips and encourages the global church for evangelism. Ben is married to Naomi. They enjoy travel, walking their pug Toshi, and try not to fall out over Nays love for Manchester United and Ben’s long suffering allegiance to Leeds United.
Karl Guttormsen
Karl has been a Christian for over 20 years and works in the NHS. He has a love for our church community and seeing God glorified in Manchester. Both Vicky and Karl are passionate about encouraging people to come to know Jesus and living life in all of its fullness. They lead a local group at their home, love walking in nature and bring the experience of their corporate careers to our leadership team. They have a son, Matty.
Vicky Guttormsen
Vicky has been Christian for over 20 years and is a user experience designer in Fintech. She has a love for our church community and seeing God glorified in Manchester. Both Vicky and Karl are passionate about encouraging people to come to know Jesus and living life in all of its fullness. They lead a local group at their home, love walking in nature and bring the experience of their corporate careers to our leadership team. They have a son, Matty.
