Local Groups

Local Groups are at the heart of MCC’s vision for discipleship, connection, and everyday faith. While Sunday gatherings bring our whole church family together, Local Groups create space for deeper relationships, support, and growth. Meeting in homes and neighbourhoods makes it easier for people to pray together, read the bible, care for one another, and be a visible witness in their local community. These groups follow the example of the early church in Acts—devoted to teaching, prayer, sharing life, and encouraging one another daily.

In our Local Groups we spend time learning the Bible in a simple, relaxed way. You don’t need to know anything before you come, and you won’t be put on the spot. We read a short part of the Bible, talk about what it means, and think about how it can help us in everyday life. Some groups chat about Sunday’s message, and others use easy guides or short videos to help the conversation. The aim isn’t to be experts — it’s to discover more about Jesus, ask honest questions, and support each other as we learn and grow. Everyone can join in, whatever their background or experience.
