Based in Wythenshawe, we’re a church with a heart for our community. Whether you’re exploring the Christian faith, have recently become a Christian or have been one for years and love to serve this community, this could be the church for you.
We meet each Sunday morning at 11.30 in The Message building on Harper Road, Sharston and would love to see you then.
Packed with lively worship, teaching and stories our services are for people of all ages. Whether you’re new to church or have been going for a long-time you’ll find a warm welcome here.
As part of our services we regularly have special activities. These activities don’t happen every month but this is what we aim for.
1st Sunday of the month – Sunday Lunch
2nd Sunday of the month – Communion
3rd Sunday of the month – Baptisms
Our services are also live streamed.
Our kids and young people are an important part of our church, so each Sunday morning we have groups running for them. We all meet together for the first part of the service, before our 0 to 16’s head off to their groups, meaning you can enjoy the rest of the service whilst they are looked after for you. Find out what the kids and young people get up to here.
FAQ about services
What time does the service start and finish?
We intend the service to start about 11.30am, although we are often a few minutes late.
The service itself normally finishes around 1.00pm and then we have coffee, tea and cake for those who are able and like to stay around, chat and share together.
What do I do when I arrive?
When you arrive you will be directed by the welcome team into the main hall. Sit anywhere you feel comfortable, at the front, side or back. If you’re quite a sociable person then please do chat to the people around you, otherwise feel free to sit quietly by yourself.
What do I wear?
We don’t have a dress code, please dress however you feel comfortable.
Is there a creche?
Everyone, of all ages, are together for the first half an hour. It will be announced when the creche, for 0 to 4 year olds, is available. This is the same time that the children and youth group start. The time can vary a bit from week to week.
What if my child doesn’t behave?
We’re a family church and we know that some members of the family find it hard to sit still. Please don’t worry about your child being noisy. However, if you prefer to take them out of the room then there are toys in the creche room that they can play with until our children’s workers arrive to allow you to go back into the service.
What if I can’t stay for the whole time?
Obviously we’d love for you to able to stay for the whole service but sometimes that’s just not possible. Please feel OK to arrive or leave when you need to.
What if I’m late?
That’s not a problem. We’ll see you when we see you.
What if I have additional needs?
We understand that family is made up of a diverse range of people and needs. We want you to feel comfortable in church, and anything else we do, without having to conform to a “normal” way of doing things. If you would like to wear ear defenders then feel free (the welcome desk has a couple of sets for children). If you struggle in social situations then feel free to sit by yourself and not engage with others. If you have any concerns about a particular physical disability, autism, adhd, anxiety or anything else then please contact us. Feel free to say if you would prefer to communicate by email rather than phone call.
How will I know where to sit?
There are no reserved seats. Sit anywhere you feel comfortable.
I suffer from anxiety and coming to church by myself is too much. How can you help?
We stream our services online so check them out, via the Resources page. When you feel ready to join us in person, get in touch and we can connect you with someone who would be more than happy to meet you outside so that you aren’t walking in alone.
